Did you know…in 1983 there were 50 dominant media corporations. Today there are FIVE. These five conglomerates own about 90% of the media in the United States - including newspapers, magazines, book publishers, motion picture studios, music labels and radio and television stations. In this episode, we are joined by Anjali Midha, Thomas Dey and Evan Shapiro and we discuss the ever shrinking media landscape.
Diversity in stortelling
Critical to creative and business growth is diversity in storytelling. Yet diversity is more than the story, it’s hiring practices, it’s environment, it’s opportunity and it’s the willingness to address the issues that people who are considered other (including race, sex, religion, identity, etc.) face every single day.
